I’ve been a professional photographer for over fifteen years and at various points along the way I’ve also been a lecturer in a professional photography programme.

I was born in Portland, Oregon on the west coast of the United States and lived there for the first 30 years of my life. After a travel sabbatical in Asia and Australia I settled in the UK, first in the New Forest and now here in Bristol. I’ve found Bristol to have a welcoming and vibrant arts community that I’m proud to be a part of.

When my assistant, Tilly May, told me that she was applying for the new collective residency I had a look at the website and instantly thought it would be an excellent way for me to connect with emerging artists and give support to the arts community in Bristol.

My role in the new collective is to act as a mentor to the artists and to support them with tutorials and short lectures on photographic techniques to ensure that they are able to maximize the benefits of participating in the new collective by properly documenting and presenting their work in print and online media.
